Guided Walk - Exploring the Myths and Mysteries of Troy Town Maze and Santa Warna’s Well

Join local artists Teän Roberts and Layan Harman for an in-depth look at two of Scilly’s most enigmatic sites.
Meet at St Agnes quay and walk to Troy Town Maze and on to Santa Warna’s Well, taking time at each site to discuss the historic meanings and myths connected to these relics from the island’s past.
Covering themes of pilgrimage, folk-magic and St Agnes’s unique position right at the Western edge of the world.

Webinar - What's the Buzz about the Scilly Bee?

Buglife is working with Small is Beautiful – landscape recovery in the Isles of Scilly, on a feasibility study to investigate the possibility of reintroducing one of the islands lost species, the Scilly Bee, and they would really like to hear your thoughts.
Following the success of their on island drop-in events Buglife Senior Conservation Officer, Laura, is now offering an online session for those who were unable to join the conversation in person.

University of Exeter Marine Summer Showcase

The Exeter Marine Summer Showcase is an exciting annual event dedicated to sharing some of the incredible marine research happening across the University of Exeter's marine network.
For the first time, they are opening online viewing of the talks to the public!
Presented by the ESI and with a theme of SDG14: Life Below Water, the event covers a broad range of marine talks across disciplines.

This free exhibition by the Isles of Scilly Museum has been co-created with islanders from St Agnes who shared artefacts, images and memories of the eccentric island character, with her little round glasses and signature beret.
It includes examples of Hilda Quick’s printmaking, pocket sketchbooks, published bird guides as well as sketches and artefacts from her life on St Agnes - all displayed on her home island of St Agnes where she lived for almost thirty years as a cornerstone of island life and community.

'Greatest Gull' - Summer Exhibition
IOS Steamship Office, St Mary's

This exhibition by the IOS Museum, Five Islands Academy and IOS Wildlife Trust centres around the plight of the greater black-backed gull, and how this once hunted and hated predator is now on the Endangered Species Red List.
The exhibition dives further into their lives, habitats and conservation.
Archival items such as taxidermy birds, antique collected eggs and early glass-plate photographs from the Museum's archive to explore changing attitudes to these gulls over time.

Our Safeguarding Children Partnership: Multi-Agency Neglect Training

This one-day course is designed for multi-agency professionals in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who work directly with children and families.
The programme builds on existing safeguarding knowledge, providing an in-depth exploration of neglect and its impact across the child’s life course.

Through sharing information about any mammals, or signs of mammals, that you see, the Mammal Society can find out more about where mammals are, how they are doing, and how we can help them.
